World AIDS Day 2016
 
To commemorate the upcoming World AIDS Day, 2016 with theme “Hands Up for HIV Prevention,” HIFASS will be conducting a one day community outreach in the Jahi community in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) FCT on the 1st
of December, 2016. Activities to be carried out include Health Talks, Testing and Distribution of Condoms and IEC materials.

Invitation to the Book launch of “Improving Laboratory based Diagnosis of Malaria Microscopy Methods Manual.”
 
This manual entitled “Improving Laboratory-Based Diagnosis of Malaria: Malaria Microscopy Methods Manual for Detection, Identification and Quantification of Malaria parasites in Routine and Research Settings”is a sterling effort by Colonel Abayomi Adeoye (rtd), who is currently the Laboratory Advisor, HIFASS, and World Health Organization (WHO) graded Expert 1Microscopist to enhance the capacity of MLS involved in malaria microscopy. The manual is written in a simple, easy to understand and operate format. It is unique in the sense that all the steps to be taken to arrive at accurate diagnosis of malaria have been covered.

Health Initiatives For Safety And Stability In Africa (HIFASS) in collaboration with 108 Nigerian Air Force Hospital Abuja is organizing a one day community outreach in Nuwalege, AMAC FCT on the 25th of April,2016 to commemorate the World Malaria Day, 2016 with theme “End Malaria for good,” HIFASS will be carrying out several activities which includes; Health Talks, Testing and Distribution of malaria commodities.
